Guilford, Connecticut
Edelweiss Lodge No. 31
A fraternal lodge of the Order of Hermann Sons of the State of Connecticut. We're a group of men who look out for one another, enjoy each other's company and keep German-American traditions alive on the shoreline.
Saturday, October 10 · A fundraiser for Guilford VFW Post 7666
Join us from noon to 7 PM at Martin-Bishop (Fireman's) Field for live German-Austrian-Tyrolean music from The Austrian Boys, strolling accordionist Richard Cartier, Schuhplattler dancing by H.S.V. Bavaria, games and contests with prizes, and German-style lager from East Rock Brewing Company. Advance adult tickets are $20 and include a free beverage. Proceeds benefit the Guilford VFW and the lodge.
Been to an Oktoberfest already this year? There’s always room for one more! Our dancers, H.S.V. Bavaria, have performed at the Oktoberfest in Munich.
What we're about
Brotherhood with a purpose
Fellowship
Regular meetings, good conversation and a table full of friends. The lodge is a place to belong.
Mutual aid
Like Hermann Sons lodges since 1840, we support our members, including sickness and mortuary benefits for our brothers and their families.
Heritage & community
We celebrate German-American culture and give back to Guilford through events that bring neighbors together.
Meetings
Come meet us at the Guilford VFW
The lodge meets at Guilford VFW Post 7666, 104 Mill Road. Guests considering membership are always welcome. Drop us a line and we'll let you know when the next meeting is.
